I have a bunch of stands that I leave up all season. I bought this stand to be the one I pack in and out when I am going to new spots or hunting on public land and don't want to leave my stand. It is small and light, making it easy to get in and out of the woods. Yet, it is adjustable, very comfortable, and solid on the tree. I love the boomerang cleat because I can sit straight in a leaning tree. The nylon washers keep it quiet. My Muddy Climbing sticks pack on the back of the stand and I carry them both in using backpack shoulder straps. It would be nice if the platform leveling feature did not require a wrench, but I will probably never use that feature anyway. None of my other stands even have it, so I am not going to knock Muddy for it at all. I like everything about this stand, especially the seat leveling feature.

First, I don't understand the guys who gave bad reviews because of the assembly? Hope they never had to put their kids toys together on Christmas Eve. Assembly is a no brainer. The seat doesn't crash down, the directions say tighten until snug.
I like this stand. Easy to assemble, easy to hang, very stable, super comfortable. Got it at 1pm, was assembled, and up the tree hunting by 3pm. Also, have it hanging in a crooked tree, so the boomerang cleat was a bonus.
Very good value.

First I'll list the positives. It's easy to hang and rock solid on the tree. When the straps are tightened first and then the platform is folded down this digs the platform into the tree. It doesn't move! The seat is very comfortable and the waterproof covering is a big plus. The stand is very light making it easier to carry in. Now for the negatives. Although simple, being required to assemble a hang-on stand is ridiculous. Next, the platform is entirely too small. The length is livable, but the width is unacceptably narrow. Last, the flip-up seat doesn't stay flipped up unless you hold it up and when it drops down on it's own, it does so with a loud thump. This is a big deal if you flip the seat up to use the entire platform to stand and shoot because if the seat falls with the loud thump it's good-bye buck! Overall it's a fair value but something should be done to hold the seat up when it's flipped up. I can live with the platform.
