I'm going on three years with these boots and I'm not easy on them. No complaints. I have put many miles on them through swamps, ridges, mud, and water. Bascially, you name it and they've been through it. With the exception of one small tear in the neoprene, they've held up exceptionally. I've never had one bit of moisture come through anywhere in the boots. No doubt I will be getting another pair of these when my current pair finally fails. If you hunt hard, you need to take care of your feet. You can do that by getting you a good breathable pair of socks and teaming them up with these Muck boots!

if you walk, hunt inclosed stands with heaters or your a polar bear then this is the boot for you but if you hunt portable or climber stands like I do forget it. New 90% morino wool socks and new thurmax sock liners at 29 degrees ( in texas ) my toes froze and hurt but to be fair the comfort range does state ACTIVE comfort range 50 to -40 but dont expect to sit very long. for walking they are VERY comfortable but for $180 I really expected a little more, or should I say less frost on my toes. cold toes make for a miserable hunt.

This is my second pair of Muck Boots(my son took over my 1st pair, lol) & would recommend them to any body.I like the snug fit & they are the best all round boots i've ever purchased when it comes to comfort!I wear them outside the house doing chores & white-tail deer hunting in the cold winter months in KY.!Yes,they are kind of expensive, but these boots are durable & will last you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Johntheretiree Great boot.
I like to tromp with comfort. This is the boot I was looking for. I have read other reviews were people who purchased this boot feet weren't warm enough through frigid cold temps, well, for me the worked out great (sub 20 degree weather for hours). they are very easy to put on and take off yet fit just right. Although I havent had them very long, if the boots last years to come, then I will be a happy camper. Thank you Bass Pro.

Just below the knee on me (I'm 6'1).Bottom line...these are the best boots made for cold weather. Bought mine in 2000 and they still look brand new. PLUS they're made in NY...

Can't anwser on the insulaton per se except that I wear mine with heavy socks to sit on stand for hours down to +30 degrees and am comfortable. Below that temperature, I move on to snow pacs. I am on my 3rd pair and love them!A:
It's not listed as a Thinsulate product in terms of grams of insulation, but I can tell you that I've owned mine for ten years, I only wear them to hunt, and they still look brand new. I have never, NEVER had cold feet in the woods while wearing these boots. Best boot made, and only boot I'll ever own.1 of 1
