I bought one of these to keep in my enclosed deerstand on those chilly mornings. I'm not going to say I can sit up there in shorts and t-shirt now but it definately helps keep you comfortable. The best part for me is it helps warm the stand enough that my 4 and 6 year old can sit with me and stay warm.

I bought this unit to keep me warm while ice fishing in my portable tent. Unit works great! It heats up very fast on "HI" and provides good radiant heat on "LOW". At times I had to turn off the unit, as it would get almost too warm in the tent even in -25c weather!!

I bought this for my fiance as a Christmas gift. We took it to the hunting blind here in Ohio and we loved it! I didn't have to wear gloves to keep my hands warm enough to make a shot (I hate wearing gloves while shooting my bow.) It keeps the part of your body that is facing the heater VERY warm and keeps the other part comfortable enough to sit for long hunts. I won't hesitate to go out on extremely cold days now!

nice little heater. it does what it says it will do, and that saying alot these days. a canister of fuel last for 3 to 4 hours. only set back is, the owners manual recommends that you remove the canister when not in use, so you can't just grab tne unit and turn on the heat. i use it in a room if i don't need to warm thewhole house or in the van on overnight fishing trips.

I use mine in an 8-person tent and it knocks the chill out of the air. I usually sleep in my sleeping bag with it off at night; then turn it on just before crawling out of the bag in the A.M. It probably warms the tent up by 10-15 degrees. I have used it in all night in 20 degree weather and the only issue I have had is the tanks will get frosty and create a puddle of water on the tent floor. The 1lb tanks will last ½ the night on low.

There are a lot of factors that play in to this question. Obviously, the outdoor temperature would be a big factor, as well as what is considered warm. This can be used in tents, however, Mr. Heater's owners manual states that all flammable materials need to be kept away from the heater. While it would certainly help in warmth, it may not produce the heat like you have in your home in that large of a tent.

When operating the heater at altitudes over 7,000 FT. above sea level, the unit may not burn as bright as in lower altitudes. This is normal. At higher altitudes, the heater may shut-off. I wouldn't let it be too near any tent material. Keep it away from anything flammable or heat sensitive. Keep the front, back, sides, and top away from flammable material. I put mine on a piece of plywood to be safe when I use it also. This thing puts out some heat for sure. I open my trailer roof vents some when I use it in my trailer.Answers

I just recently used this on my 18' boat while salmon fishing. Before the trial I was concerned about the tip-over shutoff activating from wave rocking action while slow trolling.The heater ran without incident while experiencing 3-4' windblown waves. Low is 4000 BTU's and high is 9000 BTU's.

There is no difference. They are the same heaters that are made to meet the specifications of different areas. They all produce 4000 to 9000 BTU/hr.
