Designed to directly connect to and run off of standard 16.4 oz. disposable propane cylinders (not included), this heater helps you put 3800 BTUs of heating power where you need it. CSA certified for indoor use, this heater is great for garages, workshops, enclosed porches, and any other well-ventilated enclosure. The Buddy Heater also works in tents, fishing huts, and similar enclosures, making it a handy accessory for hunters and fishermen. Easy to use, the heater ignites with the push of a button. Oxygen depletion sensor notifies you of ventilation problems, while safety shutoff shuts the heater down if accidentally knocked over. Heats up to 100 square feet. Heats for approximately 5-1/2 hours on one cylinder.

Rated 4 out of 5 A good buy I purchased this product for a father and son camping trip. The temp got down to 38 degrees we stayed nice a warm in our tent. With our socks we hung in the ceiling of the tent and were nice and toasty for the next morning. The down side was, I should have tested the heater at home first it was very hard to get it to light properly for the first time due to the packing dust clogging the heater once that burn off it work great! Rated 4 out of 5 by msolocam1 Good for the blind I purchsed this so my 7yr old son could hunt with me and stay warm. It works great, he stays warm, everyones happy. The one and only downfall is the fact that you cannot adjust the heat, but if it starts getting too warm, I just open the blind window a little more to let more heat escape. I would have to say I'll probably use our heater even when he's not with me. Never have used it outside the blind, so I can't comment on that. If you blind hunt, and you want to stay warm, I'd buy one! November 27, 2010

Rated 5 out of 5 by Windknots Decent little heater I just bought this heater the other day. Used it in our HT 2 man Instashak shanty. After a 1/2 hour, it was really warm in there. It wasn't a windy day, so it warmed fast. I like the heater because its bigger than I thought it would be, yet, doesn't take up much space at all inside a shanty. It fits easily on my sled and runs 5+ hours on one tank. If for any reason its hard to light the surface and get the orange glow, its probably due to dust or cobwebs. Simply blow off the ceramic and tilt unit forward just slightly (not too much or shut off will engage) and it will catch. Otherwise- you won't have trouble with it and it does throw quite a bit of heat for a little thing. January 20, 2010

Rated 5 out of 5 by NKram622 Great for staying warm! I have an 8' x 8' fully enlosed hunting stand/lodge that I use this in. The temp variable control is not that wide of a range but it does offer a little control. I use it mainly on the nights that I sleep out in the stand. I have used it a lot of time while hunting as well and don't think it bothers the deer at all. It is a quiet heater while be very effective at taking the extreme chill out of the stand.
