Mr. Heater® Base Camp Buddy Portable Propane Heater
Won't Buy Again
I purchase this product for one of my deer blinds. When I received the product I was like a little kid on christmas. I had to open it up and play with it. The stability and the performace of the heater was great. The first time I used it. When I took it to the stand the first time I had trouble getting it to stay lit. Didn't think nothing of it until the next day when it was 10 degrees outside and I could not get it to stay lit at all. Brought it home that day and called Bass Pro and they offered me exchange which was great. I took that to the woods 2 weeks later and same thing happen. So I tried a new propane bottle and that did not help. I contacted Mr Heater on this one to see if it was something I was doing wrong. But what could you do wrong by holding in a button for 30-60 seconds. Nothing. When I contact Mr Heater they informed me to remove the cover and check to make sure the thermal sensor was in the correct position. So I did. BY NO MEANS DO THIS EVEN IF THEY SAY TO. It voids the warranty with Bass Pro and Mr. Heater. All in all would have been a nice heater if it would had worked. Now it just sits on the shelf in my work shop.

Perfect Heater for the Shanty
The best thing I bought for ice fishing. The heater works great, starts quick, and warms up fast. The fuel goes a long way. It does not take up a lot of room, is very stable, and is quiet. Keeps you warm without being a distraction. I plan on using this beauty in the deer blind in the fall, the turkey blind in the spring and maybe even in the camper on a cooler summer night. Only thing that would make it better is a storage bag.

perfect stand heater
This is the perfect size heater for any kind of deer stand or blind. I made a small shelf on the tree next to me and used the heater to keep my hands and face warm on a 20 degree morning. It was quiet and effective.

I was very disappointed with this product. It is very unreliable and left my family and I out in the cold. Fist of all, having to hold down the on button for 30 -60 seconds is just poor engineering even if it did start after that, which of course it doesn't. Secondly, the unit will only start when it is warm...why would you make a "heater" that doesn't work in the cold?
I need a heater that starts right away, at the push of button, every time...maybe that's too much to ask for.

I leave mine on but open the roof vents some in my 26 foot trailer. My reasoning is that IF any harmful gases were to be made, they would vent out. The unit has a tip over and low oxygen sensor which shuts it off in either case. I have used mine with no problems in my trailer.
