Wally Marshall, otherwise known as Mr. Crappie, is one of the world's foremost experts on crappie fishing. He recomends these Mr. Crappie® Wally Marshall™ Cam-Action, Fine-Wire, Code-Red™ Hooks for crappie fishing because they are strong, tough and needle-sharp. These hooks will have you boating more fish in no time.

  • Cam-action: point rotates toward pressure for quicker, easier hook setting
  • Code-Red finish: triggers more fish strikes
  • Fine wire: allows better bait performance

hooks you should have a measurement on overall lenghth -such as 2 inches0r 1/2 inch ---- I cant use these at all -way too small December 13, 2013
Great hooks These hooks are great for minnow fishing for panfish. They bend fairly easy so it is east to get unsnagged then just bend them back and keep going.Very sharp out of the package. The only reason ther not 5 stars is the red finish comes off pretty easy but then again they still work the same.Would give a 4 and a half if allowed. best panfish hook No better bluegill hook out there. Not sure the red color REALLY matters, but I seem to catch more fish using these than traditional brass or black hooks. Think the CAM ACTION is really the key to success with these. Hard to argue with success. October 22, 2013
Great live bait hooks These hooks are awesome! You will not find me crappie fishing with live bait with any other hook. Every fish, hooked it the top of their mouth and I have yet to gut hook one using these hooks. The finish on these hooks is very very durable, they stay red. I striper fish using another high end brand circle hook and after 2 or 3 fish your hook is gold and not red anymore. Another great attribute of these hooks are how easy they are to get free when you do get hung on something. I use #10 braided line with these hooks when crappie fishing and 9 out of 10 times I can pull loose of anything I get hung on and then just bend the hook back and fish on. I have only used the code red but I just ordered some in the nickel and they look to be just as good. July 2, 2009

I don't think there is a difference except for the packaging. Both catch crappies for me and stick'em right in the roof of the mouth. The Mr. Crappie ones are only in the smaller sizes, but Tru-Turn come in all sizes. Awesome hooks!
