I picked up a pair of these last week and spent the weekend breaking them in before a planned hiking trip above the tree line in Colorado. The sole is quite thick but there is enough flex to be comfortable. According to my pedometer I've already done 10 miles, on asphalt, gravel and soil. I'm confident they will be comfortable on the trail.
Instead of the usual colorful patterns that now appear on so many hiking boots, these are a nice full leather boot and they are good looking. I'll be able to test the waterproof claim since we already have snow in the high country and I will be strapping some snowshoes on as needed.
One thing I like about these are the metal lacers around the ankle BUT the first pair I tried on had a bit of shredding on the lace. They gave me a new pair and when I laced them up, the metal lacer caught the lace so I now have a bit of shredding on my lace too. I am hoping the manufacturer will send me a new pair and I'll be more careful when I lace them up. Other than that, a great boot.

For outdoor boots I am extremely hard to fit and please then I saw Bass Pro had these on sale, they looked good so I decided to take a chance. And, was I surprized, these boots are everything I wanted and more. It's rare that you can wear a pair of boots all day the first time you put them on, you can with these. Verly light, supple, strings tighten up properly with proper tension in the right areas and extremely comfortable. The footbed liner in these boots are constructed very close to the POWERSTEP liner that I have to have in all my shoes for arch support. This is the first pair of boots that I have purchased that has an acceptable footbed liner. You can't go wrong with this boot. They are imported but so is almost everything else right now.

I've wore these boots every day (7 days bi-weekly 12 hour shifts for 8 months). Wore them out in the woods, crossing creeks and cant wear them out. Waterproof and very comfortable. Seen them on sale for $69.00 and bought a back up pair so when my first set wears out I don't have to search or have to spend full price.
