The Moultrie Game Spy D-55IRXT 5.O Game Camera is a huge DISAPPOINTMENT! I received this as a gift and after reading negative reviews I thought I would put it to the test myself before making any judgements on the product.
Problems:
Hybrid mode never activated the video, sunrise or sunset.
Trail Cam. mode; Motion sensor failed to trigger beyond 3 feet. When the motion sensor did activate the camera the display read "taking" but NO images were saved to the memory card(SanDisk 16GB).
My expectations for this camera were high and I was highly disappointed. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

I put some 50 lb bag of corn about 20 if so yards in front of this camera and by the time the deer ate all the corn witch took about a week or so this trail camera got no pictures. Talk about a battery guzzler each week I have to waste my money on 6 C battery's on this thing. I literaly put a coffee can scoop worth of corn 5 FEET IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA AND STILL GOT NO PICTURES OF DEER ONLY ME TAKING THE CARD OUT. I would say this is one of the most wastefull investments I've ever made.

Set this up after purchasing with Moultrie SD card. Never worked. I spent about an hour trying to get it to start so I could change the default settings. After giving up, I set it up in a spot wear I aways see deer. No pictures even when the display shows "taking" when I walked in front of it. I reset everything and finally got the custom settings to come up. The battery showed 27% after only 2 days. I went back to check after 2 more days and pulled the SD card again Empty and the batteries are dead. If I can get back to a Bass Pro in the next few weeks, I'm returning it. Waste of my time and money.

This camera worked for one week. The few pictures taken were of good quality. The camera now will take pictures but not load them on the SD card. After buying several cards and many calls to customer support I will now send the camera back during hunting season. Customer support was nice and helpful but this is the first and last Moultrie i will buy.

Yes. A red glow appears for several seconds at night. I do not like this as I was trying to catch a thief that stole the hood for my 1937 Chevy car.A:Â
yes its red its not bright at all and dosent make noise or bother the deerA:Â
There is not a flash, but a infrared glow when picture is taken. If person is looking towards the game cam, the red glow is noticable.A:Â
no, it's infaredA:Â
There is no flash the IR lights up red but if you are not looking directly at it you will miss it. Flash or IR does not effect game, they actully get very incestigative and check it out. I several eye pictures.Answers
