this motor is working really good. The one I had on the feeder wasn't what they made out it to be. I have bought moultree products before and they all worked fine. So I'll stay with Moultree.

I had this unit for one year and it quit working about the time the warranty was up. Granted I never brought it in out of the elements, but isn't it supposed to be made for outdoor use? I have sent it back to moultrie along with a camera that has quit working. I guess I will find out how good their customer service department is. Word to the wise never lose your receipts. Don't ask me how I know!

I also had to change out the plastic cone & plastic spinner plate because the squirrels in SW GA eat them. Don't waste your time just get the metal ones!

I've been using this feeder trouble free for over 2 years. I had the old style feeder motor from Moultrie before that. It had the twist on cone that was a nightmare to get on and off when there was corn anywhere around. This design, though cheap, is very effective and works well. Like i said, it's been running for over 2 years without any problems. I wouldn't recommend using a disposable 6V, get a good rechargeable for about twice the price. From what i remember, the disp. battery lasts 2-4 weeks, depending on the quality of battery and temperature. A rechargeable will last up to 6 months, and even longer during the warm months.
