Built-In Lowrance Transducer and Temperature Sensor

Now see it in person -- the built-in transducer was developed in conjunction with a team from Lowrance, to deliver the best possible picture with your Lowrance sonar. The 20° 200kHz sonar transducer crystal provides incredible detail and is epoxied inside the nose cone for maximum protection. Also inside is a temperature sensor, and both are compatible with most Lowrance units.

Rated 1 out of 5 Not a good idea 1st unit purchased, the sonar quit working. The second unit hit one log and now the head of the lower unit is cracked and flaking off. Would not recommend February 8, 2009

Rated 3 out of 5 by RICKM good product....but I've had this motor ( 55 lb. thrust ) for 18 months. I like its power, it's easy to steer and the wireless foot pedal is very convenient. I also like the fact the battery used in the foot pedal lasts a long time. I am still on the one supplied with the motor but be sure to have a spare in the boat. There are a couple of downsides to this motor. I wish that Motorguide has used the one hand deploy method by using the pull cord system prevalent on most electric motors. It takes 2 hands to deploy and store the motor into its base. Another inconvenience is that the motor shaft runs through a tube. This makes it impossible to wrap the transducer cable around the shaft if a trolling motor transducer is attached to the unit. Here's a couple of things anyone should do. Be sure the transducer is mounted so that the cable is furthest away from the propellor. Once this is properly attached, pull the cable taut and secure it to the top part of the shaft with a cable tie. This will prevent any slack in the cable while part of it is in the water. It these measures are taken, the motor should give years of steady performance. All in all, it beats the heck out of any Minnkota I've ever used. June 17, 2008

Rated 1 out of 5 by donihoo Bad Trip Purchased this unit in Feb 2008 and only fished with it twice before the nose cone cracked and the unit locked up. Took a week vacation to fish in Florida and on the second day the motor starting vibrating and sounded like it was crushing nuts. The unit then started to slow down until it actually locked up. Once on the trailer, I noticed the nose cone had a three inch crack. I had not struck anything in the water and there was no reason for the failure. I have owned several motorguide trolling motors however I would not recommend this unit . Joel March 8, 2008

The MotorGuide® Sonar-Ready Digital Wireless Series Trolling Motors has a built-In Lowrance Transducer and Temperature Sensor making it sonar ready. However, you will need to order the Transducer Adapter Cables through MotorGuide: http://www.motorguide.com/store/acc....

This does not come with a sonar fishfinder it comes with the transducer to connect to your sonar fishfinder.
