Rated 1 out of 5 by save your money I bought a new boat with the 82 it worked for about a month. this makes the second motor guide i've had in the last four years with the same results. save your money and buy a minn kota September 4, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent buy for the buck I will never buy another brand as long as i have a boat. Unfortunately my old tour series had expired and had to be repaired so i purchaced a new one. Straight out of the box and on the Ranger it went. Only exception i would recommend is make sure you have the rite pig tail connectors before in stalling. Every boat is different with different hookups for the electrical wires. Other than that it is excellent!! August 17, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth the money Bolted right into the holes from my 11year old Motor Guide. Mount is very sturdy and is easy to use. Like the high override feature for fishing the weedbeds on the Potomac River and upper bay in Maryland. Suggest you purchase the bounce bumper to protect your boat and trolling motor in rough water. Makes my boat feel like it's brand new. July 27, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by good trolling motor I had a old tour 82 that was a good motor until the circuit board went out . The tour 82 digital eleminates the circuit board and is smoother and more quiet . Under nornal fishing I run it on 3 or 4 and if I want to get some where fast 8 or 9 is all I need . 5 or 6 is good for windy conditions and I never run my batteries down . May 31, 2010

Would recommend that you check your batteries and the wirintg. Had a buddy that had the same thing and changed out the batteries and he was good to go. Would also recommend that you use AGM or gel batteries. Standard acid filled batteries tend to die quicker.

the x 65 is an out dated unit and they dont have transducers for them any more . You have to have a newer unit with a different plug on it like any of the H D S units .
