Rated 5 out of 5 by great item luv this item little expensive though but works well on my new pontoon when I run the trolling moter from anywhere on the boat June 23, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent product I received this as a gift, and couldn't be happier with it. It works from anywhere on the boat and the response is immediate. Very convienient and user friendly. Easy to program! May 12, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by ok got this so the guy in the back of the boat could control the boat if the guy in the front was busy.i think its easier to use than the foot pedal but if the guy in the front of the boat is a big guy, then the remote signal is blocked and doesnt register.good intentions on the remote.but this may be a hindrance.little bit pricey as well. There's a mount/strap(?) that will let you secure the remote to any fishing rod you use in seconds and let you operate it with the hand holding the rod, directly above the reel....makes sense, now I can't find it, anyone???
Thanks

No it would sink, but you will be attached to your battery wiring so it should not ever be in danger of dropping.
