Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Target I've been using the "Crush" version of this target for about 6-7 years now and I'm just now having to buy a new one. With proper maintenance this target can handle 1000's of arrows. First of all if you leave it out in the rain and the sun you can expect it dry rot at some point. Yes it's heavy but how hard is it to cover it up with a tarp? And isn't the weight one of it's advantages? Secondly, only shoot at 2 of the 4 sides and never on opposing sides. The more you shoot the more you break up the fibers on that particular side and once you've done that they can't stop the arrow if you shoot from the opposite side. I've only ever shot at the deer side and occasionally at the side with the pool balls. Through the years I've repainted the deer and I've worn a hole in the vitals but it still stops the arrows and they still stick in straight. The thickness of this target makes it virtually impossible to destroy if you follow these two simple tips. In the 6-7 years I've been shooting at this target I just today had the first arrow poke through the opposite side. The arrows are simple to remove with one hand and the target doesn't move an inch. Get this target, take care of it and enjoy many years of shooting. August 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Couldn't Be Happier I bought this target and was shooting at it with a Barnett Ghost 410 Crossbow, and couldn't believe how easy the arrows pulled out. I was expecting to have to use one of those rubber arrow pullers, but that definitely wasn't the case. Even at 20yrds, you could easily remove the arrows, and it doesn't even really move when just shooting it while it's just sitting in the lawn. Now, I will say that I didn't shoot at the far corners, so I'm not going to say it doesn't move at all, or won't move, but it does have a lot of weight to it compared to other block targets I have bought in the past. I even shot it with my compound bow, but as one would expect, those arrows pulled out even easier. Definitely worth the money if your looking for a nice target. August 13, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Target Got my target in the mail and took it out for a trial run. Was shooting with a friend that had a Rinehart block target. We were shooting at 50 yards. The yellow was easy to see at that distance but the pool balls and the dart target were hard to differentiate since the colors don't really stand out and are not super clear. Shooting a Mathews Jewel set at 50lbs the arrows were super easy to pull out compared to the Rinehart. My friend had trouble pulling his arrows out time and time again. Was not pleased that the field tips got stuck on the inside of the fabric of the target so had to kind of rip them out which left a hole. I'm not sure how long the cover will last since every arrow leaves a hole of some kind. They definitely don't close like the rinehart target holes do. Also, the target is on the heavier side and the handles to carry it aren't very comfortable. They are basically just mesh type handles that roll up in your hand, they should have put some sort of foam or plastic handle on it to make it easier to carry. Other than that, I'm please with the target for the price. June 24, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This Target is a Beauty! I just got into bowhunting, excellent target for the money, easy arrow removal, and fun games on it. Have shot over 200 arrows at it, and it still looks like new. August 9, 2011
