  • One of the most popular and productive flies
  • Must have classic trout fly pattern
  • Imitates a wide variety of aquatic insects
  • Solid choice when mayflies, mosquitoes and duns pop
  • As effective as a fly gets
  • Beautifully crafted on sharp hooks
  • One dozen

One of the most popular and productive dry flies ever created, the Parachute Adams is famous for covering more hatches than imaginable. A white parachute post increases visibility and allows the Parachute Adams’ body to ride low in the film. This fly can make amateurs look like pros, so grab a dozen or maybe two because you’re going want to throw them everywhere trout rise to sip on dries.

Great fly This dry fly is an all around amazing fly and is one of the best drys ever tied. I use a size 16 all the time on the Hiwassee and Tellico Rivers in Tennessee and if I present the fly correctly the trout will go crazy for it. February 11, 2012

Hi, this is a bit tricky, as you did not say where you would be fishing. I would check with your local tackle shops in your area to see what other anglers are using to catch bluegill as this may vary by location.

Bluegill: Spinnerbaits, microjigs and ice tick jigs all work well. Miniature soft plastic lures and small tube jigs also are effective. Chartreuse, pink and white are good colors for soft plastic jigs. Leadheads that have been tipped with twister tails, rubber grubs or marabou feathers are all excellent choices. If you prefer live bait, bluegill love nightcrawlers and worms of any kind. Grasshoppers or crickets are also options.

    Thanks!

I have the best success with 8. 6 is a good size, but they tend to get far down in the throat than do the 8's.
