Unfortunately, no. The 032818 is a below deck fuel tank and is not designed for mounting above deck. The XLPD material that they use in constructing this tank has no UV protection, thus it ca not be used in direct sunlight. As well as there are regulations governing the type of tank that can be used above and below deck. Thanks

According to Moeller Marine this item part 032550 is a below deck fuel tank that is not configured to meet the new EPA/CARB evaporative emissions requirements. They are allowed to sell a non-compliant EPA/CARB permanent mount tank when installed in a consumer boat built prior to 2011 and that matches the evaporative emissions of the tank being replaced. Not sure if we have answered your question completely as it does relate to whether you are installing as an aftermarket use in older boats or whether this is a smaller OEM trying to circumvent the EPA regs. I hope this helps. If not, please contact Moeller Marine for assistance. ThanksDetails:Â

You can use these tanks for fuel that contains ethanol as long as you aren't letting the fuel sit for more than a month or so at a time. If needed, you can always add (and probably should consider doing regardless for your motor's sake) an ethanol treatment when you fill up, I know that Stabil has a good product for that.Hope this helps!
