The pointed barbed shank attached to the eye is the secret to the Keeper. Easy to rig; holds plastics firm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Hooks Easy to Rig, Less Snags, the belly weight keeps the hook up. Works good with sinkos, craw bugs, and grubs. Does not tear up my plastics when their biting. Always keep a bunch in my boat! June 29, 2011

Rated 5 out of 5 by Good hooks I use these with some of the Z-mann products because it is hard to get the Z-Mann plastics on some of the spiral keepers. Good hooks and the bait stays in place. May 17, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for jerk shads and flukes These hooks are really great when rigging up jerk shads and super flukes. First off, the barbed shank allows you to "spear" the head of the bait without having to thread the entire hook through the baits body. This is a huge advantage with the really soft, bio-degradable plastics being used today. Second, the hook has a smaller bend to it, so the weight sits closer to the body of the bait unlike some of the wide-gap swimbait hooks that hang so far below the bait. The hook seems to fit the bait better and offers a more natural looking presentation. Third, the angle of the hook tip is really condusive to a Texas type rigging. When a soft plastic body is rigged Texas style, the hook tip just barely hooks the "skin" on the back of the bait, making hook-sets much easier to reform than with other style worm hooks or swimbait hooks. The design of this hook is perfect to prevent the destruction of the bait from just rigging it. It's better to let the bass destroy the bait instead! July 14, 2010
