A redesign of their trusted PowerDrive Trolling Motor, Minn Kota's PowerDrive V2 Bow-Mount Trolling Motor delivers the same dependable performance with the added benefit of an improved deploy mechanism, ergonomically designed foot pedal and digital electronics. Includes Minn Kota's two-year warranty.

Deploy-Assist Lever
Puts you in motion and in pursuit of fish, quickly and easily. Simply depress the lever to deploy the motor and you're ready to go. When it's time to move, it stows easily and securely—ready for action again as soon as you are.

Ergonomically Designed Foot Pedal
Offers precise speed adjustment, right/left steering, and both momentary and constant on/off. Features the industry's highest IP68 waterproof rating and an 18' cord.

Wireless Foot Pedal System Accessory
Plug-n-play design for PowerDrive V2 (and Riptide SP) bow-mount motors. Wireless foot pedal gives you the freedom to fish anywhere on the boat. Pedal functions include left/right steering, speed up/down, and motor on/off. Receiver attaches to the right side-plate of trolling motor mount and includes plug to allow corded foot pedal to be used in conjunction with the wireless pedal. System is programmable to allow multiple foot pedals and/or CoPilot™ remotes to be ''learned'' (up to 10 total, sold separately).

Digital Maximizer™ Technology
Up to five times longer run time on a single charge. By controlling the draw of power at variable speeds, Digital Maximizer eliminates wasted energy, extends battery life, and gives you more time on the water.

Pontoon Hand Control Motor
Compact foot print to free up more deck space. Hinge & door latch allows for easy depth adjustment and removal. Applies to items 38-531-727-00 & 38-531-725-00.

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 55 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Extremely Good Purchase This trolling motor was very easy to install. About 4 hours after recieving it I was at the lake giving it a try. Easy to operate. Easy to control. Easy on the battery. I would recommend this trolling motor to anyone considering purchasing one! Well, off to the lake!!!! September 12, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works Great!!! I'm going on my 2nd power drive in 25 years and the only reason for the new one is because of my own doing. In 25 years I needed to get one new foot control, and they got full of sand and water and worked flawlessly for years, I expected to go through more then one controller. The new V2 works great, I have a 14' mirrorcraft deep v with the 48 lb thrust. I have a boat full of equipment , 2 people and a lab and I can go all day, wind, weeds it doesn't matter and more often then not go most if not all the next day and have power to spare. I like the newer design foot control, easier touch and the layout is much easier to make your adjustments ,and the continuous run switch is up out of the way which makes it less likely to bump when trying to bend over to unhook a fish or land one. My lab seemed to find that switch whenever I was dealing with a fish, now it's not a problem at all. I've read reviews were some we're very unhappy but I couldn't be further from the truth. I've tried others on friends boats and wouldn't even consider anything other then my minn Kota. From on a pontoon to a 14' mirrocraft I couldn't be happier and would recommend to anyone. Rated 5 out of 5 by Good motor for the price This motor supplies all the power I need for for my 17' tracker, the only problem was my old copilots connections don't fit this motor. June 20, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good purchase The trolling motor itself works really well. Once we hooked up a new battery it had plenty of power to keep our 21' pontoon on the move. The variable speed control comes in very handy, gives you the option of very slow crawl on those calm days and can add more speed to compensate for the windier days. The quick release bracket is misnamed. A thumbscrew that close to a flat surface is very difficult to use. It did not screw in/out very smoothly. After putting motor on and off a few times we removed the screw and use a snap hook in the holes meant for a security lock. Much better! Bracket itself slides easily and low profile great for storage. June 14, 2012

Yes, this should fit your Tracker Boat and if your cover was designed to fit over a trolling motor than it would work perfectly. Thanks

I have a 55 pound thrust Minn Kota V2 Power Drive motor with foot remote on my Tracker Targa boat. I use my boat and the trolling motor constantly. I live on the water and work at a marina in my spare time. I fish an average of 10 hours a week from May through the middle of October. I have never had a problem with the remote foot controls on my Minn Kota V2. In my opinion it it the best and most reliable electric trolling motor hands down. I would never own anything else. Hope this helps you out.

Thinking of buying one of these but I have read some reviews on this model stating that the steering is too fast and that it oversteers too quick. Also hard to lift back onto the deck.

A:
I have no problem oversteering, but that is all really getting used to like another but dosent take long to get the feel. Lifting onto the deck is also a technique or feel for what will work best for you. I've had a total reverse shoulder replacement and am getting a new right shoulder replacement this fall and I manage to haul back on deck. Technique, it just takes a few tries to get what works for you .

It does require quick taps on the foot pedal for small adjustments. I did not find it hard to get back the deck. You get what you pay for.

I do not use mine like that usually, but I had an outboard go out and mine got me about 6 miles back to the boat launch(it took a loooong time). I ran it on max the whole time, only a few breaks to fish areas that looked good. If you don't run it on max for trolling(I can't immagine you would) then you should be fine.

I have a 70LB/24Volt, I use it all day long without over heating. This motor moves my 1448 Grizzly (Tracker) at the speed of sound. google smittles1179 to see the setup. I don't have any shots of just the trolling motor moving the boat, I'll have to film that this year.

I have tried to do this and and can't come up with a solution other than this . I had to mount my transducer on a aluminum pipe and attached it on a swivel at the bow . I just can't see a way to mount it to the motor without leaving the cable loose except at the very top and bottom of the shaft. I will be monitering your question also to see if other solutions appear. To anyone who reads this that hasn't bought one of these PD's yet besure to buy one with a built in transducer . Actually if you read my review of this trolling motor you can see how much of headache the copilot system has been to me also.Yet I must say I'm still optimistic to see if the new I-Pilot system turns out to be a better system than the copilot is.I plan on waiting at least another year .

Yes, just lift it up. You use the head of the motor or the shaft to lift it, not a cord on these.

it stows just like a normal bow mount and can be pulled quickly. You'll need space on the bow for this.
