Motor installed easy - works great. Easy to use and has plenty of power for my 20 foot boat in heavy river current. Would recommend strongly.

I replaced an older model Minn Kota motor with the Fortrex. The Fortrex operates much smoother than the old unit, especially at higher speeds. This unit doesn't jerk on high powers. It was very easy to install.

bought a boat had a Minn Kota Fortex 101.The motor was a 2010 that was used very little.First time I went out fishing a tournament it stops working after 30 minutes.If I had a motor guide I could have switched to a spare in 20 minutes.You can not do this with the Minn Kota.So tomorrow this will come off and my motor guide will go on.This motor is junk.

I was impressed with how quiet the motor operated and solid the mount and arm are constructed. There was no bounce or torque at any time during it's use. Very pleased with the total operation.

I have a humminbird HD with Down Imaging GPS on the bow and I'm worried the built in transducer may not be as good as the Humminbird one. Also I may up grade to a Down and Side imaging sonar. Anyone run into this or have a problem? I will go another rout if I have to mount my Humminbird one to it.Answers

The built in transducer is great BUT you cannot use it for down or side imaging. You must mount your down/side imaging transducer to the trolling motor.

The Universal Sonar 2 delivers exclusive fish finding features from uncluttered, interference-free sonar. With the shielded cable connectors, it should virtually eliminate the possibility of sonar interference. We have not heard of any other customers having problems when using the built in transducers.
