EMax 50 I just purchased the Endura Max 50. I bought it to replace my Endura C 36 . This motor is great not only does it have infinite speed control but with the digital maximizer I'm getting four to five times longer run times on my deep cycle batteries. Great Motor! April 12, 2013
Best Trolling Motor Endura Max 55 Transom Mount exceeded my expectation. It does a fine job with my 20'ft Pontoon. It moves very quietly and with ease. It runs well in white caps with the 42 inch shaft.(a must). It is very quite and smooth and manuevers with ease. I ran 3 hours the first time out and the battery still had 84%. I had 12 gallon of fuel, 2 people and all our gear onboard with some headwind. I definetly recommend this trolling motor. April 17, 2013
Endura Max I bought the Endura Max 55 with the 42 inch shaft to install on the front of my 16 foot Starcraft. It was simple to remove the screw to turn the head around in order to operate from the bow. It zips my boat around no problem, and the variable speed control is a welcome addition. The battery lasts forever, and the motor does exactly what I need. Plus, I didn't have to spend a fortune for a foot control, and as long as you keep the steering friction tight, the motor keeps you right on track. July 31, 2014
Good as ever I have owned Minn Kota trolling motors for many years. This motor continues a tradition of easy to use ultra reliable operation. Great features for a fair price. November 18, 2014

The battery lead wires are about 5 feet long. You can extend the lead wires so that you can put the batteries up front. Consult the conductor gauge chart that comes with the motor at the time of purchase. That will tell you what gauge wire to use for the length of wire needed.

I am planning on using this on a inflatable v hull raft. I'm trying to find out how much run time on max setting. I realize it's also based on battery size, but is there a formula to figure?
Trying to go with lightest battery due to weight. But...We don't want to get stuck on the other side of a lake.
Thanks, Brian

A:
Reserve capacity is the number of minutes a battery can maintain a useful voltage under a 25 ampere discharge.
The higher the minute rating, the greater the battery's ability to run lights, pumps, inverters, and electronics for a longer period before recharging is necessary.
The 25 Amp. Reserve Capacity Rating is more realistic than Amp-Hour or CCA as a measurement of capacity for deep cycle service.

A:
Hi, thank you for your inquiry. The new Endura Max offers variable speed and the Endura C2 is 5/3 speed. The Max offers the Digital Maximizer™, which controls and optimizes power to extend battery life and reduce damaging heat. You will stay on the water up to five times longer on a single charge. Therefore, you get more time on the water and more time to catch fish.

the sun dolphin 120, to me,looks like it takes a transom mount trolling motor mounted to the bow with the head reversed. Does this seem correct? I was going to order the 50lb thrust and 42" shaft
