Minn Kota Endura Max Transom-Mount Trolling Motors feature Minn Kota's Digital Maximizer technology, which allows the motor to run up to five times longer on a single battery charge. Endura Max Trolling Motors boast variable speed control for more precise and smoother speed adjustments plus improved control.
Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 9 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Big step up. I have had 3 Minn Kota's over the last 20 years of fishing and one motor guide. The unbreakable shaft and weedless wedge prop are both superior to the motor guide's metal shaft and machete prop. The addition of infinite speed control is amazing in both boat control and battery life! First the unbreakable shaft saves you from careless mistakes on the river or lake. The two bladed power wedge and weedless wedge turn at slower rpm's than the motor guide, they are both quieter and more responsive. I rarely have weeds build up in the prop. The variable speed control is amazing. Being able to hold my 14ft jon in the wind, or creep along the bank at the pace I want are great. The best is that after 3hrs of fishing on my sub divisions 75 acre lake I still have 75% battery left. I can go out in the morning and afternoon without recharging. The only issue I have had with the motor were my fault. I didn't check the prop shaft for line built up and somehow broke the shear pin. Overall the best motor I have ever had. August 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Endura Max I bought the Endura Max 55 with the 42 inch shaft to install on the front of my 16 foot Starcraft. It was simple to remove the screw to turn the head around in order to operate from the bow. It zips my boat around no problem, and the variable speed control is a welcome addition. The battery lasts forever, and the motor does exactly what I need. Plus, I didn't have to spend a fortune for a foot control, and as long as you keep the steering friction tight, the motor keeps you right on track. July 31, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Powerful and Quiet Purchased the 55LB model for my 14FT boat. Very quiet and energy efficient. Lasts on one battery much longer than other Minn Kota models. The varied speed control really helps out on the water rather than the 5-Speed dial system. Very durable as well. December 5, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Just purchased I purchased the 55 LB endure max I have only tried it out to see the power was in the water for about a half hour seems to have good power. I have a 14 ft alum. boat made by smoker craft. speed at 100 % was around 10 to 12 MPH going into the waves further testing is needed then maybe a higher rating may be entered August 25, 2013

I am planning on using this on a inflatable v hull raft. I'm trying to find out how much run time on max setting. I realize it's also based on battery size, but is there a formula to figure?
Trying to go with lightest battery due to weight. But...We don't want to get stuck on the other side of a lake.
Thanks, Brian

A:
Reserve capacity is the number of minutes a battery can maintain a useful voltage under a 25 ampere discharge.
The higher the minute rating, the greater the battery's ability to run lights, pumps, inverters, and electronics for a longer period before recharging is necessary.
The 25 Amp. Reserve Capacity Rating is more realistic than Amp-Hour or CCA as a measurement of capacity for deep cycle service.

Price difference?

Details:
I am considering MinnKota Endura Max or Endura C2 for my 16 ft. V hull Lund. What differentiates the two motors in price for 50# thrust with a 36' shaft? I can't see what differentiates the two motors based on the Bass Pro printed descriptions…………..

A:
Hi, thank you for your inquiry. The new Endura Max offers variable speed and the Endura C2 is 5/3 speed. The Max offers the Digital Maximizer™, which controls and optimizes power to extend battery life and reduce damaging heat. You will stay on the water up to five times longer on a single charge. Therefore, you get more time on the water and more time to catch fish.

the sun dolphin 120, to me,looks like it takes a transom mount trolling motor mounted to the bow with the head reversed. Does this seem correct? I was going to order the 50lb thrust and 42" shaft
