Rated 3.1 out of 5 by 18 reviewers.
Rated 2 out of 5 by Disappointed I was so glad when I received my edge bow mount hand operated trolling motor,I put it on my boat right away as it was replacing my previous edge 40lb thrust trolling motor that lasted 4years,not terribly long in my opinion,so I upgraded to the 55lb thrust hoping it might be made better, but when I got out on the lake the pin was missing that holds the control head on the shaft and could'nt be steered,so I stuck a temporary pin in it so I could fish at least, the motor also vibrates like crazy at all speeds, and even at the highest speed setting it has less power than the 40lb motor I had previously.i will be buying a motor guide next time! August 13, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by No rebate I bought the Edge several months ago and have used it some, and it's worked okay. The problem I've had is getting the rebate from Minn Kota. I've called and e-mailed them, as well as sending in the required documentation. Their reply is that USPS never delivered them anything. Cheap way to get out of sending the rebate. I will not buy another Minn Kota or recommend it to anyone. July 18, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by very good, but Had this motor 1 year, motor has performed well, but at 12 months exactly the rope to the locking pin disintegrated. I have had a couple Minn Kotas, never happened before and I used them until they where beyond repair. Hope they just got a bad batch of rope and haven't gone cheap , but I got it. May 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very reliable still after 6 years Bought the 40lb, 36" Edge over six years ago and ran it on a 14ft flat bottom for 4 yrs and now on a 16ft deep-v for almost 3 years. It has been a super dependable motor without ANY issues. It has seen countless hours, some saltwater, heavy weeds, strong current, and still runs just like new with plenty of power, even up river. Once used to the foot pedal design, i found it very simple and much easier to control than the models with electric directional motor controls. I can only hope the newer Edges are as reliable as the one I bought...some day I may need a new one, but not yet. August 31, 2013

Hi, thank you for your question. Per Minn Kota, "Our motors do not take any specific plug for them. Any plug that is sufficient for the voltage of the motor will work."

At this time, I am not sure what your measurement space to mount the motor on your Grizzly Boat. However, below photo is a diagram of the mount and measurements. I hope this helps. Thanks

The mount is included with this trolling motor, I do not believe there is room on the bow of the Pond Prowler to mount this motor. You would have to fabricate a platform to mount this on the bow.

I would be safe and go for the 52" shaft. You want the motor head to be aleast 8-12 inches under the surface of the water at all times. The MinnKota web site should have a calculator for determining the correct shaft length..

Yes, I mounted the transducer for my 788 ci di hd combo on my edge 45. There is not a whole lot of room to spare but have had no problems after 100s of hours of use.

A:
To determine your shaft length measure from the mounting surface to the waterline with your boat fully loaded.. For rough water conditions, add 5” to the waterline measurement. For hand-control trolling motors, add 12” to recommended shaft length.
