The Minn Kota® Digital Linear Onboard Charger features digital control, 2x faster charge times, enchanced status codes, advanced maintenance mode, multi-stage charging, and automatic temperature control. In addition, this marine battery charger features waterproof, shock- and vibration-resistant aluminum construction; saltwater-tested and fully corrosion-resistant; short circuit, reverse polarity, and ignition protected; and for use with 12V/6-cell batteries (50–130 amp hour rating). Dimensions: 11.5'' x 7.5'' x 4''.

Digitally Controlled
Microprocessor design protects your batteries so you can stay on the water longer. It monitors temperature and state of charge to create a faster, regulated, more precise charge.

2X Faster Charge Times
Up to 2X faster charge times in high heat conditions.

Enhanced Status Codes
Provides comprehensive feedback on charge stage, maintenance mode status, error notification and full charge.

Advanced Maintenance Mode
To prevent damage to the battery during long-term storage, the new on-board chargers feature an enhanced maintenance mode that automatically shuts off 24 hours after the battery is fully charged. The charger continually monitors battery voltage and will automatically turn back on to maintain full charge.

Multi-Stage Charging
Ensures a full charge while at the same time preventing overcharging, which can damage and shorten the life of a battery. This technology automatically controls current and voltage over three charging stages: bulk, absorption, and maintenance.

Automatic Temperature Compensation
Constantly adjusts output voltage based on ambient temperature. This optimizes the battery gassing threshold to allow the battery to efficiently reach a full charge in any conditions. This feature also protects the battery from boiling due to overcharging at higher temperatures.

I know its only 5 amps per channel but if i fishing 2 days in a row i just plug it in overnight and both batteries are charged by morning plus a slower charge with help keep the batteries longer. Definatly worth spending a tad more and getting the Minn Kota!!! April 27, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by No More dead trollin' battery I continually forgot to go out the day before goin' fishing and carry a 50 ft extension chord out to my new boat, and I forgot to carry my battery charger out and hook it up to the chord and the batteries. so I ordered the Minn kota MK-210D. I've had ita month so far II keep it plugged up all the time and every time i go fishing now I just unplug, hookup uncover and go the thing works great. September 25, 2012

batteries in parallel

Details: 
I have 3 batteries in my boat, 2 for the trolling motor which are connected in parallel, and one for cranking. should I use a 3 bank or 2 bank charger? it's a 12v system.

If you want to charge all 3 you will need the 3 bank charger. My boat has the same set up as yours but I just have the 2 bank since I have never had an issue with the starting battery dying. I also have a set of jumpers in the boat just incase the starting battery dies.

I would use a three bank system to give equal charge time and to keep the one bank from overheating with two batteries to charge at once.

This is a battery charger, you could attach the solor charger to your battery, not the charger.

Yes, the unit is designed to remain on over storage. You will still need to maintain the correct water level in the cells over long periods.

I highly doubt it will show any heat marks. I have mine mounted under the front deck of our boat and it does not get very hot at all.

No. You will have no heat marks. I've had this motor for a year. It's the best thing out there. I and people who go fishing with me are amazed at what it can do.

yes amazingly well. It has four wires - two sets (positive red and negative black) obviously and easily connected. I've had mine for about a year and it works great. It's a great charger

Yes. That is the primary purpose of this charger. It can also be used for regular 12-volt.

It plugs into a normal 115 reciprocal. I leave the batteries in the boat and use an extension cord.
