Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 31 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by minn kota mount let me first start off by saying it is a good concept but it was extremely time consuming to install. Don't just dive head first into it, you should test fit first. The way my bow is welded and shaped it is not exactly flush so I had to figure out a way to true it up and that was a pain in my rear end. Lets just say I got it mounted just to figure out the holes wouldn't line up on the mounting bracket. So this started the rest of my 6 hour install. September 18, 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by Worked well - few issues The unit worked great but the stainless steel hardware that came with it worked below par. I had to remove the bolts for a minor adjustment and 2 bolts broke off. Also the velcro strap that you originally get barely fits, but it still does do the job. Overall I am happy. I can now put my cover back on my boat. Just an FYI. Buy this, before or when you are getting your trolling motor. If not, you will have to cover up 4 holes on your boat.. It will take away an inch of trolling length as well - no big deal though.. September 5, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wrong Part Ordered this quick release mount from Bass Pro on the recomendation of people at the Minn Kota factory. Minn Kota recomended the wrong mount for my application. Bass Pro was great to order from. We will be returning the mount and purchasing the correct one from Bass Pro. August 20, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Genius I recently tricked out my duck boat(1650 Triton with 35hp Mudbuddy HD) so I could access some hidden away spots for crappie in the spring. After getting the bowmount trolling motor on, I realized that was going to be a real pain taking it on and off between hunting and fishing trips. A buddy told me about this quick release and behold was the answer to my problems. If you have a boat that you use for recreation other than fishing, but you still want to maintain the fishability of the rig, just get this quick release and the trolling motor will be out of the way in seconds and back on in seconds when you need it. Hi, thank you for your question. The MKA-21 Quick Release Bracket comes in black. The white colors are the RTA-17 (Riptide ST or Riptide SP bow-mount trolling motor) and RTA-19 (Riptide SF, Riptide SM or Riptide SE bow-mount trolling motor).

I have both trolling motors. A 80lb 24volt Maxxum, and an 80lb 24volt Terrova with Ipilot. Is there one bracket that I can put on and then switch between the 2 motors?

Will this fit my boat?

Details:
I just bought a 2000 Wellcraft 16 fisherman and it had a RT55/SE on
it. Wanting the I Pilot I quickly learned this
wasn't just a head replacement. I had to buy the Whole thing new. Got a Riptide ST/55 w/ I pilot and planned to install. Now I found I dont have enough distance to clear the bow and was wondering 'for my boat will this bracket help me clear the front. Brian

I have attached the dimensions of the ST and the quick release plate you would have to measure and see if it fits. If you are still unsure you may have to contact the boat dealer to see how they normally install them. Thanks

Yes. You'll need the plate if you have already installed your trolling motor. Otherwise you will se 4 screw holes when the motor is off.
