Easy to mount but its flexable enough that you may have trouble aligning the disconnect rods. Its well worth it to be able to quickly remove your trolling motor

DO NOT BUY THIS UNIY if you are inpatient and can't wait to get on the water!
Mounting the unit was simple on the bow of my Tahoe 195, I had some 1/2" White plastic material to bring the height above the lip on the deck.
The bracket shipped from a store in Wenatchee WA and they repackaged the unit without the original box that had the mounting template on it evidently. No worries, it was simple to understand.
My major beef is if you DO NOT follow the directions stating the need for the cotter pin or pad lock needing to be installed in the release pin, you can lose your trolling motor over the side of the boat. I know most of you are smarter than me, however in my haste to get on the lake this year I over looked that point and came very close to losing my motor.
Follow the instructions!
My fix until I can find a replacement pin is 4 -1/4" bolts held in with tape

This is a handy piece of equipment if you want easy removal of your trolling motor. The trick is to get the 2 pieces level. Gave it 3 stars because it's way over priced.
