Minn Kota® Composite Quick-Release Trolling Motor Mounting Brackets
I really like it, only have had it on the boat a short time

Worked well, but its expensive and the center disk should have been repositioned to allow for more flexibility in mounting. The bow of my boad tapers in and I had to modify the mount in order for the trolling motor to extend out far enough past the bow to clear the bumbers

Mounting Holes are same width as my old Motorguide
I bought this to see if the holes lined up with the built in mounting wholes that were used for the original equipment Motorguide trolling motor my old Bass Tarcker had.
I was bummed when I tried to mount my new Minn Kota (Power Drive v2) and there are a few choices for mounting holes but none lined up with the ones built into my boat (too wide).
The boat doesnt just have holes but countersunk welded bolt things..
This bracket (puck) lines up with the Motorguide holes in my boat width wise exactly. I used the stock mounting wholes on the front. I had to drill out the base plate since the old screws were a larger diameter and get ones with counter sunk heads, but it was worth it to use 2 of my original mounting wholes which are so close to the edge of the boat.
I did have to drill 2 new holes for the rear ones. But they were easy enough to get to.
I still cannot believe that no one has come up with an adapter bracket (at least that I could find) going from one to the other, etc.
This is expensive but I do like being able to take the troller off as well.
Hope this helps someone out there.

I just bought a 2000 Wellcraft 16 fisherman and it had a RT55/SE on it. Wanting the I Pilot I quickly learned this wasn't just a head replacement. I had to buy the Whole thing new. Got a Riptide ST/55 w/ I pilot and planned to install. Now I found I dont have enough distance to clear the bow and was wondering 'for my boat will this bracket help me clear the front. Brian
I have attached the dimensions of the ST and the quick release plate you would have to measure and see if it fits. If you are still unsure you may have to contact the boat dealer to see how they normally install them. Thanks
