The Midland Two-Way radio turned out to be just as advertised. They gave good coverage even in hilly terrain. The head sets could be easier to use.

Midland radios saved my life. After a 33 ft. fall that shattered both my legs,(not the radio),I was able to call my son and get help.( I landed on the radio)I still use the same radio today. Changed batterys a couple of times but works perfect. Thanks guys for a lifesaveing wellbuilt product.

So I have had many different GMRS radios in the past and these Midlands work very well for what I use them for. I run a small plumbing company and use them to communicate with my helper around the job sight. I also use them for deer hunting to talk to my hunting partner we hunt out in the sticks and cell phone reception is spotty at best. One important thing though you will not get anywhere close to "36 miles" more like 3-6 miles, but that's good enough for what I need. Also the "whisper" function works very well picking up low voices when trying to be quiet while hunting.
