I have an Australian Shepherd that was born with only one eye. He can only see about 15% out of the eye he does have. As a result, he could never see well enough to fetch...until we found this ball! We are able to play fetch at night as this ball lights up bright enough for him to see it! I also like it because unlike other light-up toys, this one is rubber instead of hard plastic. It can be bounced off the walls and hard surfaces outside without damaging it!
I would highly recommend this product to any pet owner, but especially those with partially blind dogs. It changed my Cody's life!
The only caution I would have is to make sure it works before you leave the store. You have to push on the button really hard (it's hard to turn on/off so that your dog doesn't do it while chewing on it). We found that several of the balls in the store would not turn on.

Was told it probably would not work in sales sock. Paid $11.99 plus tax. Took it home, opened it. Did not work. Found the manufacturer's home page. EASY TO REPLACE BATTERIES are NOT. Two people, two screwdrivers.
Replaced batteries for $6.99 plus tax in an $11.99 toy.
Takes two people and a screwdriver to reassemble.
Dog, which chases any flashing or flicker object looks that this steady glowing, changing color toy and yawns.
If Bass Pro Shop were closer than 100 miles, would return it for a refund.

I moved to Corpus 1 yr ago from DFW. I recently went back to see friends in Dallas and while there went to a local Bass Pro Shop with a buddy looking for some golf gear. While there I saw this ball and felt it would be great for walking my dog at night which I do quite often as I normally walk him to the local park later in the evening when it has cooled down. Within 60 days of buying it stopped working properly and after another week stopped working at all. A few months later I decided to go to Bass Pro online and ended up ordering another one that DID NOT WORK AT ALL when it arrived..
