Merrell® Moab Ventilator Waterproof Multi-Sport Mid Hikers for Men
Very good shoe
My walk to work is 40 minutes in the morning and then 40 minutes in the evening in all sorts of weather in Chicago. I bought the Merrells with the hope that the Vibram soles will last longer than my past hikers on concrete. Fell in love with these hikers right away. Very comfortable and very good in the snow and slippery surfaces. Only complaint I have is the uneven foot bed in the heel area under the foam insole. I feel it within a few minutes of walking and it becomes irratating toward the end of my commute. Took them back to the store only to find the others in stock are the same. I ended up keeping them because they are such a good shoe otherwise.

I bought these boots for a New Mexico elk hunt. Boots are fairly comfortable but they are NOT waterproof, even though there is an emblem right on the side of each boot which clearly says "Waterproof". At the end of the first day of hunting, my feet were drenched and the only moisture that my boots ever walked through was damp grass from the morning dew. I was so completely disappointed by the poor performance of these boots, which supposedly are a top-rated brand of boots, that the president of the company is receiving a letter from me.

I had been trying on less expensive boots and had never heard of Merrell before. I wasn't happy with the choices in the lesser priced shoes and thought I'd just try on a pair of Merrells since one of them on display suited the styles I like. I was very surprised with how much more comfortable these were compared to the lesser priced boots. Additionally, this pair of Merrell's were much lighter than other boots that I own.
