  • Popular and proven to catch just about any fish
  • Erratic swimming action
  • Perfect combination of flash and vibration
  • Hand painted soft plastic minnow
  • Run at mid-depth

One of the most popular lures in Mepps' lure lineup, the Comet Mino is deadly and will catch just about any fish that swims. These erratic swimming, hand painted soft plastic minnows look just like an injured baitfish and are complete with the perfect combination of flash and vibration - a Mepps spinner. Trolled or cast the Comet Mino run at mid-depth. Made in USA.

Rated 5 out of 5 by mepps comet no3 Overall the BEST lure I've ever used.No matter what time of year it always produces.Bass , crappie, bluegill, and even the occasional catfish.I use the baby bass 5/16 with the silver blade.I'm 51 so i been around a while. Just buy one you won't regret it. April 23, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Doesn't Catch Diddly We have a few of these and no one in our family has EVER caught a fish on one or even had a bite. Trout, pike, bass, panfish and walleye will all ignore this. July 1, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by awesome bait The mepps comit mino is the absolute best lure i have ever used for smallmouth bass , striped bass ,and crappie. I use this lure in the little miami river in cinninnati ohio and i catch at 15 bass a day on this thing u can throw it in rapids , shallow water , deep water , calm water....just about anywhere. i do best in the river on this lure, it is plain old EXCELLENT!! I would say that you should match the fish they are eating, but I think that if you are going for rainbows then you should use the rainbow trout. A lot of the trout I know are cannabalistic.

A:
i would say the smallest size as possible for brookies, like the 0 but a 3 for browns. If it is a dark day you want the brighter silver blade, but on a sunny day you might want the darker blades, I know if you are not normally a trout fisherman it may not make sense. Also for color i like them all except for the rainbow trout color.
