  • Protects your boat's finish
  • Installs in minutes
  • Protects against abrasion and costly repairs

Never scratch up your boat again! This patented, easy-to-apply Megaware KeelGuard Keel Protector provides a permanent buffer between rocky, sandy shorelines and your boat's valuable finish, keeping contaminants from grinding away at your hull. It's the only safe, sure way to prevent damage when beaching your boat and is the preferred choice by many professional bass fishermen for protecting their valuable investment! Installs in minutes with 3M® VHB pressure-sensitive adhesive and a specially designed burnishing tool (both included). Provides a lifetime of protection against abrasion and costly repairs.

NOTICE: If your trailer is designed such that the entire weight of the boat rests on rollers or a support beam along the keel, we do not recommend installing the KeelGuard. If the rollers can be lowered or the side bunks raised to clear the rollers, the KeelGuard adhesive bond will not be compromised. May not be suitable for some aluminum boats with reinforce rib design.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Glue didn't hold to guard I bought this product last year and no problems to start. Now the guard glue is secure to the boat but the actual guard came apart from the glue/boat.Just like a couple other reviews I read earlier. Does anyone have any idea on how to repair this problem? Thanks for any help or ideas. March 14, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by best purchase ever I installed this product on a 2001 1720 Keywest boat. I followed the instructions and the installation was quite easy though my arms were tired ensuring a good contact with the hull. Only thing not in the kit was a solvent to clean installation area. I personally recommend acetone,.... ensure you where protective gloves and goggles to protect your hands and eyes. Have not put boat in water but I expect no problems and It looks great. May 2, 2012

Yes, it will work on a Tracker Boat. However, see below per the manufacturer web site.
* Newer generation watercraft with exotic hull designs, make attaching a keel protector very challenging. The complex curves and contours make it almost impossible to achieve a full-surface bond. We do not recommend installing nor can we warrant these type of applications. Older style hulls that are rounded or V shaped, work very well with the KeelGuard.

Note: If your trailer is designed such that the entire weight of the boat rests on rollers or a support beam along the keel, we do not recommend installing the KeelGuard. If the rollers can be lowered or the side bunks raised to clear the rollers, the KeelGuard adhesive bond will not be compromised. The KeelGuard may not be suitable for some aluminum boats with raised, reinforced or squared off rib design. Please contact Megaware KeelGuard for your particular application.

Will the 3M adhesive adhere to Roplene ( plastic) hulls? Most things wont unless you treat the Roplene.

per contacting the manufacturer here is what they sent me back:

"We know that Polypropylene will not work with the 3M adhesive. We know people who have successfully bonded it to Hypalon on inflatables. It sounds like Roplene may be closely related to polypropylene so I would say to consider it the same and that a treatment would probably be required. We have just not had experience with Roplene to give you a good definitive answer. So we would error on caution and suggest buyer beware."
