  • Side-Stepping Balancer System
  • Unique rolling dog-walk
  • Patented water ducts create a natural bio-sound
The Megabass POPX continues to dominate the high-end topwater popper markets of Japan and the United States. Utilizing the Megabass original Side-Stepping Balancer System, the POPX produces a unique rolling dog-walk unlike conventional poppers. Patented water ducts mimic the gills of real baitfish and help to create a natural "bio-sound;" not the ordinary popping sound created by a simple cup at the front of the bait. The POPX "spits" instead of splashing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Pop "Art" "This lure is truly a work of art. It looks so real in shape and color you'd think it was alive. I got the Pop X, Sexy French Pearl color--not offered here, but looks like the Sexy Shad with little more blue on the sides. It works as a topwater on many levels. With a long cast, it spits further than my Pop-R, pops soft or loud, and walks and sits at rest like a Sammy. The size, bulkiness, not length, is small even for 2 1/2"; Japanese waters are highly pressured. But, does it work better than Pop-R? I think so, and for the price you would expect it to. Still, if you just want a popper that will catch fish, I think the Pop-R does a good job and you probably don't need one that costs 3 times as much. But, if you want something special that might be a collector's item some years down the road, this could be it." September 7, 2013
