Megabass Orochi XX Casting Rod
Your finest choice for jerkbaits, crankbaits, rigs, spinnerbaits, worms, jigs, or any other casting technique, the Megabass Orochi XX casting rods are true marvels of cutting edge fishing rod design, with incomparable strength and sensitivity. Designed for tournament-style fishing by winning tournament anglers. Each blank is carefully crafted of 4 low-resin carbon layers: a vertical-axis carbon core, a 2-axis XX-Micro carbon layer, another vertical-axis carbon arrow, and finally a 4-axis carbon wrap from butt to mid-section. This creates a lightweight yet intensely powerful shaft with 6 opposing axes to negate blank twist and juice up overall structural integrity. Each rod is equipped with a careful selection of tangle-free Fuji KWSG, KR-H, and Fuji small caliber Alconite guides for smooth casting and increased sensitivity; Fuji reel seats; Megabass custom ITO Head Locking Reel Seat; a rubber/cork composite end cap; and a Megabass original hook keeper.
Inspired by the Orochi, the ancient dragon god of water, the Orochi XX series seeks to capture the raw power and control of its namesake through Megabass’ cutting-edge blank manufacturing process, and an uncompromising eye for quality and performance. Guided by the unparalleled expertise of two of the premier professional anglers in the US, Aaron Martens and Luke Clausen, Megabass has designed a line of rods to earn a place on the front deck of their boat, and put the power of the legendary Orochi into their hands. The result of this collaboration is the tournament-tested and proven Orochi XX, built toward the tournament-winning tactics of North American anglers everywhere.
