This pump comes with two outlet fittings: one straight and one 90 degrees. You can adjust the angle of the 90 degree outlet which allows flexibility in routing the bilge pump outlet hose. The outlet sets higher than my old one which was a plus as it now clears a livewell drain hose. Easy to install and works perfect.

I use these as bilge and livewell pumps. They are easily changed and cleaned. I am hard on equipment and I have been using this particular style pump for 20 years.

This was a easy replacement for me. The broken pump was a Mayfair and the mounting brackets are similar. All I had to do was take out the old and pop in the new.

I have the model 2270 and it pumps great for about 5 minutes then stops pumping water. The motor is still running. Any suggestions for correcting this or does there seem to be a problem with the pump itself.Answers
A:Â
The pump may be losing prime from the sounds of this issue. Be sure that the bilge still has water in the area. If it does yet the pump is not pumping water, then the prime may be lost or the pump may be defective.Details:Â

Does this pump have a hose connection on the input side and can it be used as a dredge for small gravel/sand?
Answers
A:Â
No, it does not have a hose connection on the input side for this application. It would be damaged easily by sand/ gravel.1 of 1
