I read the previous reviews that mentioned people who bought the 1.25" version having problems getting their shaft into their vehicle's rcvr's. I had the same problem with my 2" unit. I ended up having to buy an extension for my rcv'r which DID actually have enough space for the shaft to mount up to it. I drive an '06 Wrangler and also had to install a spare tire riser to be able to open up my tailgate with the Hitch-Haul installed!

I would recommend this product. Only thing is I wish it folded up behind the vehicle. And shipping was a pain. You do have to assemble it but its a snap.

I havent used it yet because of the bad weather here, but I assembled it and it's ready to go and it's the best purchase I could have made for my new truck. I always wanted one and now I have one.YES!

I want to use this with a Jeep--it has a rear mounted spare tire. Will the tire get in the way?

Probably. The spare tire will limit the load. Items should never extend wider or deeper than the the Hitch-Haul and load weight must be distributed evenly.Answers

I do'nt recomend it at all. It's pretty heavy in it self and can hold up to 300 lBS would probably tip the ATV.A:Â

It could be if you have a standard 1 1/4" or 2" hitch on your ATV. The width may be wider than your ATV, so check it.

The actual weight is the same as the 300 lb capacity unit which is about 35 to 40 pounds (I'm guessing). The only difference is the 2" bar size of the receiver that is bolted to the center of the unit for the 500 lb capacity versus a 1 1/4 inch receiver bar for the 300 lb capacity unit.Details:Â
I want to use this carrier with my winch crane that also fits in the receiver. The carrier goes into the receiver on the truck and the crane then goes in the outer receiver on the carrier. Not all carriers, however, have this capability. I have one at the lease already and the receiver tube is blocked by a large bolt. Does this one have a receiver on the rear also?Answers

The back side is blocked by a midline bolt and would not accept a receiver. The thin metal used in the construction of this carrier most likely would not support a receiver anyway.1 of 1
