1-Size, it's plenty big enough for a couple of picnic shoulders, plus ribs plus a salmon or two.
2- Construction, it's a well built, very solid unit.
3- Assembly, very easy to follow instructions
1- The chip box has slots in the bottom which appears to expose it to the open flames. The entire chip box caught fire. Thankfully, I had the unit away from the house! I had to cut the gas and hose down the chips.
I used a cast iron panini pan covered with foil on top of the chip box and it sealed it to tight and smothered the flames. Then I had to slide the cast iron pan off center so the flame got air...As an experienced smoker I am not overly upset and after these adaptations the smoker did seal well, kept a fairly steady temperature and the meats were fine.
2- Bass Pro Shops has NO IDEA what cover to use. The website doesn't tell you, "Live Online Help" was no help and when I emailed customer service they responded with the "correct" cover...IT WASN'T CORRECT.
Overall not a good experience in equipment or service.

A very good smoker, very roomy, plenty of trays
The only problems I have had, is on windy days

controlling the heat .

Rated 5 out of 5 by Milly My Husband Really Like it
Well first of all this was the first Christmas ever that I totaly surprized my husband with his gift. Yes he got it 5 weeks early, but that is okay. And yes we did use it and he loved it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Chowman Great first time smoker
Just getting into smoking foods and was originally going to purchase a smaller charcoal smoker. Came across this Masterbuilt in the store and it was on sale for $129.00 (CAN). Decided to go for it and give it a try.
Smoked 20 full sized beef ribs and they turned out beautifully. I didn't have wood chunks and used chips instead. The burn pan would work more for chunks rather than chips due to the open slots for the flame to get through. Found that when empyting the wood pan (ashes) and adding fresh chips temperature dropped significantly due to door being open. With dial turned past mid point heat in smoker did not rise above 180.
Well built and very sturdy. Easy to set up and produced excellent smoked foods. The 5 grill racks that it comes with makes it very convenient to set up smoker to suit whatever you are cooking. Racks are easy to clean; however, careful when scrubbing. I was using a little too much force and broke one of the tines on the rack.
For $129.00 I was able ot get a huge amount of cooking surface and wouldn't have an issue cooking at least 10-12 slabs of ribs.
With it being winter and temps in the -20C I'd like to see how this beauty holds it's heat.
