I got this smoker last summer and worked OK 3 or 4 times. Then the flame became yellow and sooty and flames started to shoot out the front near the control knob. Now before each use the unit must be disassembled and the burner blown out with a high pressure compressor. If you forget to blow out the burner your meat will be ruined, all sooty and nasty tasting. I know 3 other people with the same unit and they ALL have the same trouble. This indicates to me a 100% failure rate!!!

As a smoker the box works fine. You can adjust temp with chimney damper. It can hold a low temp well for long periods of time.
The Problem is, I now have a charcoal smoker rather than gas. The burner is pure junk. As cheap as they could find! No adjustment what so ever. Mine went out by the 3rd cook.
I have several (6) other gas cookers all in this price range and all of them have adjustable burners.
So when you by a gas powered cooker be sure the burner has some adjustment.
