This unit generates more smoke than the smoker itself, especially when smoking at very low temps. It gives generous quantities of smoke using inexpensive chips. It's a great addition to a great smoker.

This attachment is a MUST HAVE if you have a Masterbuilt Smoker. You don't have to use expensive wood pucks like some of the other brands. Just use the el-cheapo wood chips all the stores carry and you are set for 4+hrs from my experience. It puts out GREAT smoke, not that the standard chip chute that comes with the smoker is bad. But this thing just puts out perfect smoke. Easy to clean and maintain. You can smoke at super low temps, for cheese or fish with NO trouble. It's amazing that such a cheap little attachment can change how you cook. A+++++ BUY IT!

Works great for low temp smoking (sausage,cheese,etc..). Maybe they'll include it with newer models!

Great product to enhance the already great master built electric smoker! The cold smoker attachment produces a lot of smoke with very little heat. I just smoked 20lbs of cheese with it and was able to keep the temps low enough that the cheese didn't melt! I can't wait to cold smoke salmon this weekend!
