I have several smokers including weber's smokey mountain, an offset steel, another electric and a homemade one. The Masterbuilt is the go to smoker when doing an overnight smoke. Start it up 3-4 hours before going to bed so you can feed it wood chips the go to bed and wake up to some beautiful pulled pork or beef brisket. Try that with a stick or charcole smoker. have had for a few years with no trouble.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by WORRO Very nice Smoker
I love this smoker. I picked mine up over a year ago after eating some smoked food my Brother did on HIS Masterbuilt 40" Smokehouse smoker.
Simple to use, so far with over a years use of it I've had no problems.
Use wood chips, wet OR dry, I go dry on mine and it works fine. Once an hour reload the chips and let the smoke do its thing.
Nice product SO FAR!

Worked great right out of the box, looks like a high end indoor appliance. If you need an extension cord use a heavy duty one, no longer than 6 feet. Doing a hole rib roast for X-mas.

I had a bad experience with this product. After looking for smokers for a couple weeks, I decided to purchase this Masterbuilt 40". Got the unit home, followed the assembly instructions line by line. Very disappointed the unit would not power up. I then followed the trouble-shooting section of the owner's manual (Power outlet in my home was working properly). Got to the section were I was instructed to call Masterbuilt customer service. Sadly, that phone number lead to a message telling me there is no customer service on the weekends, call back later. Today, I called the same phone number and I was automatically transferred to a voice mail. (Not what one expects in this age of global competition). Finally got a chance to talk with a friendly lady, who asked me if I disassembled the controller panel and checked for loose wires. (WHAT!). These type of things should be done at Masterbuilts manufactuing facility. I paid $430.00 for a smoker, it should work out of the box.
