Rated 5 out of 5 by Solid Lock Works well, fits nicely in the hole of the coupler. Offers a better piece of mind versus a cotter pin when pulling your investment down the road. June 9, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great coupler lock I bought the standard style for my small aluminum boat based on my experience with the UFP style on my 20 foot bass boat. I like the quick and easy one turn key latch that keeps the trailer safe and secure to the hitch. March 20, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Save yourself some bucks! If you ever stay overnight... this is a must. If you leave your receiver hitch in all the time... this is a must. It's not that hard to steal a trailer or even just your hitch if you don't have a lock on it! I picked this one a few years back and haven't had an issue yet. May 7, 2008
Rated 5 out of 5 by A little $ to protect your investment I have been using the Master Lock hitch lock on my boat trailer for 4 years now, and it still works as good as the day I bought it. This was a bit of a surprise to me because my boat sits outside all winter, and my trailer sits outside all summer while the boat is in the water. I was used to the fact that locks that have consistent outdoor exposure usually get tough to use after only 1or 2 years outside, especially with a lock that sits horizontal all the time. I was truly expecting to replace the lock every 2 years or so, but I didn't need to. This lock is outstanding. It has a tight fitting rubber cover to protect the key hole, and the lock head spins, so twisting the lock head off is almost next to impossible. The other thing I like is that it is so low profile, and it protects as well as other hitch locks I've seen that are twice this size. This is an excellent lock for your trailer. March 12, 2008

A:
The width of the area the latch lock goes through is much wider on the UFP couplers, so the lock needs to be longer. The length of the 55374000 is 3-1/2" and the length of the 55374800 is 7/8", so if you have a UFP you would want the 55374000.
