I've had this bow for 5 years and so far it's been great to me. It's so light, weighing just over 2lbs, and yet it has very little handshock. It hardly makes a sound when shot and will shoot out an arrow hard and fast. If your looking into buying a recurve check this one out. It's made for the woods
