Marlin 795 Autoload Rifle
Wife shoots like a sharpshooter
I purchase this Marlin 795 as a Christmas gift for
my wife and she really liked the way it shoots and
enjoy shooting this 22 rifle. I also added a 3x9x40
scope on this rifle for her and she has shot 1" groups with no problems a 50yards. This is a great rifle for someone who has never fire a firearm in there life. Its a great way to move them up to a centerfire rifle or hand gun.

Sharpshooter, excellent budget rifle
If I could only have one 22 rifle, this would most likely be my selection. Don't get me wrong, I love my 10-22 and Ruger has one of the best warranties in the business, however, just bang for the buck as a consideration, the Marlin wins.
- If you are more concerned with accuracy, the marlin wins. It is simply more accurate than a 10-22 is out of the box (dime size grouping at 50 yards vs quarter size with the 10-22, and the group size barely grows out to 100 yards#
- If you are trying to teach children to shoot, the Marlin wins. it is only 4.5 lbs, and seems a bit smaller and easier for a youth to shoulder.
For less than $150 bucks, this really is one of the best values in the gun world, and I would recommend one to every gun cabinet.
If your desire is to deck out the gun with extras, #cool tactical stocks etc.#, then you should probably look at the Ruger, however, there are some very practical upgrades for this rifle that make it significantly better.
- DI Products Trigger and Guard
- Tech Sights #AR style sighting system#
- Promag hi capacity magazines #even a 100 round drum!)

bought this gun as a starter for fun fishing and plinking trips. when I picked up the gun I got a value pack of Remington gold 22lr ammo...that was a mistake. the gun jamed at least a dozon times, making me think I made a bad purchase. That is not the case. I picked up a brick of cci blazer ammo and just finished that off with not a single jam or misfire. the lesson is to buy quality ammo. The gun has been great fun, very accurate and easy to disassemble and clean
