Clip fed and lighting fast, the rugged, economical Marlin 795Rifle has the wide appeal that's made it a winner. Manual and automatic ''last shot'' bolt hold-open. Adjustable open rear and ramp front sight. Receiver grooved for scope mount.
Good little gun
I bought this rifle in 2011 on sale on a whim and it sat on a shelf until my son went to a day camp and shot pellet guns. He was excited so we dusted off the case and set out with 100 rounds of Winchester Super X hollow points and a plinking target.
The gun shot well and true until the last few rounds jammed several times. The lack of an initial cleaning and oiling was most likely to blame.
Fast forward a few weeks and our collection has grown to include a Savage 64 so we can both shoot together. This time we used Federal Champion 22LR in the bulk box and had only one misfeed due to operator error. We ran over 100 rounds through it this time often in quite rapid succession.
I really enjoy this rifle but find it a bit on the small side for myself at 6'1". My son (10 yrs old) finds it to fit him perfectly as does my wife.
The fit and overall appearance is better than the Savage 64 I bought but the out of the box accuracy is a half point lower.
4 out of 5 stars due primarily to the size of the gun and difficulty in finding and extended magazine to fit it.

got this gun after thanksgiving and love it. its as accurate as you want it to be. only thing i dont like is there is not a ton of aftermarket upgrades, but its a 22. why would you want to dump hundreds of dollars into a plinking rifle. I shot this other guys 10/22 and i wouldnt trade. i got mine for 115 PLUS a 25 rebate, so i paid 100 including tax. you cant beat that. the 1022 is twice the price and has no advantages. buy this gun if your thinking about a 22 and you wont regret it

A great rifle for the money
This is an overall great weapon that has never let me down. There are a few things that I don't like about it, but they are nothing compared to the things that I like about it. It functions flawlessly, with no failures of any kind. I've fired nearly 3,000 rounds through mine so far and I've never had even one jam yet. The only thing I don't like about it is the stock, it is too small for me, though I'm a large built man. The stock also isn't balanced very well, but I have solved that problem by filling the butt cavity with cleaning patches and lead sinkers. Now it doesn't feel as cheap, but it is still too small. But that is my only complaint. It is exceptionally accurate and I can't complain about anything else about it. If you feed it the right kind of ammo you can put the entire clip through a 1.5" hole at 100yards.

well, the answer technically is yes. ill leave the why would you do this up to you. but ive never seen a 100 round clip. if your talking about multiple 30(25?) round clips, itll handle it fine. the barrel is pretty thick, so it doesnt heat up too fast. just make sure you use decent ammo so you wont have any ftf or fte's. and make sure your gun has had a couple hundred rounds throught it to break it in and that it has been cleaned fairly recently
any cheapo scope. recoil is not a factor so you can get away with low grade stuff. i have a pentax gameseeker 3-9x40 on mine and love it. id say a bushnell banner would be a good fit and it has decent quality
I do not have that particular rifle but my Marlin and my brother's Marlin will shoot CCI mini-mag, really any CCI ammo, very well. But to save on money we same CCI for hunting and plink with Federal bulk packs. Hope this helps.
