Marinco® Trolling Motor Male Connector Plug
Don't throw it away!!!!!!!
Hey All, Mine shorted out too. When I took it apart to disconnect the wires I saw where it had got hot on the jumper plate next to where the wires plug in. I found that the factory had not tightened up the screw on the one side. After I tightened it up I have not had a problem with it.
HOPE THIS HELPS AND SAVES YOU SOME MONEY TO BUY LURES.

There is a problem going on.
I have now gone through 2 24 volt Marinco Male Plugs. Both crossed over and shorted out. Once during a major tournament which left me unable to fish, with 4 fish in the livewell, i was down for at least 2 hours and had to hard wire it to get up and going. Then just today, with a new plug, same problem, shorted out and now I am down again. This is a very expensive plug but it is not worth a dime.

marinco plug not good
I used this plug for my 24 vold Motor-Guide and I've had two of them go out after slight usage. The "crossover" that connects two 12 volt batteries internally either breaks or shorts out making only 12 volts available thru the plug.........will not use this plug again!!
