When it came time to re-wire the boat for the 24V system, everyone recommended 6ga wire for line drop and more amperage. It was hard to find a trolling motor plug that accepted 6ga wire. Screw the 6ga into this gadget and the prongs go into the rear of the Marinco plug. No trimming strands of wire to stuff it in too small of a hole anymore. This item does lengthen the rear of the plug so watch the clearance behind the panel where the plug is mounted.

Although the Marinco product was a bit pricey, the quality is evident. Time will tell relative to its overall durability but, for now, I am well-pleased.
