The MarCum LX-9 teams a 4,800-watt PTP power MarCum sonar with a Sony Super HAD II CCD underwater camera, plus a DVR for recording and on-screen playback. Now you can find the fish, view them, watch instant replays of the action, and record it all to an SD card using a single easy-to-use system. At the heart of the LX-9 system is an 8" flat-panel LCD display with a vibrant 800 x 600 color resolution. A user-defined, on-screen dashboard displays: digital depth, battery voltage, range sensitivity, interference rejection, and target adjust. A multifaceted sonar display features a wide range of viewing options, including water column vertical, vertical zoom, flasher dial and traditional graph displays.

MarCum's exclusive sonar footprint technology displays the area of bottom coverage at any depth with either of two transducer core angles. Other features include an adjustable zoom and bottom-lock zoom, 12-level interference rejection, adjustable scroll/ping rates, and a transducer offset setting. Made in USA.

Rated 3 out of 5 by NICE UNIT / POOR DOCS & SUPPORT Great unit that has everything an ice fisherman could ask for all in one package. I found, however, the documentation lacking with respect to customizing screens (could not duplicate display shown on packaging) and navigating the menus was somewhat cumbersome with many button pushes and back moves necessary to change options. Camera not as clear and bright as Fish Scout in side by side comparison. Several calls to Marcum have gone unanswered and for the price THAT is not acceptable. In spite of negatives, would probably buy again just for novelty and convenience. January 14, 2013
