Mann's Deep Diving 20+ or 30+ Crankbaits
Terrible crank for the money!!
I am an avid crankbait fisherman and this is by far one of the worst cranks I have ever used to date.
Initial impressions are that the bill is super thick compared to other cranks on the market. The eyes are cheap stickers and could have been better done for the price of this lure.
I took the bait out to a local lake and it was not even hitting bottom in 20 ft with the bait tied on a 7'10" cranking rod spooled up with 14# test Flourocarbon line. I came home researched on Mann's website about the bait and they said it would hit 30-33ft on 12 lb test. I have never heard of a lure loosing that much depth with that minimal of a line diameter difference. (usually it is around 1-2 ft difference per line size change) Even after respooling with 12# line, the crank still was not achieving 20 feet on super long casts. I tried tuning the bait and still was not able to get it to achieve the depths marked. Also, I noticed after just those 2 uses, the hooks were starting to rust.
I have used other crankbaits that fit the 17-25 ft range with much better success and would suggest any of those over this bait.

This crankbait dives DEEP. I purchased the 30' model and it definitly dives 30'. I am really impressed and would recommend buying it.

I typically use 6xd for my deep cranking. Thought I would give these a try. they do go deeper. I"m not sure that they go 30', but they go at least 24'. setup: 7'11" KVD tour rod, Quantum Accurist PTS, 10lb vicious fluorocarbon. Was hitting the bottom at 22'.
Actually comes through brush pretty well. Hooks are kind of junky so change those out. Will fish with it a bit more to see what else i can get out of them.

Doesn't run 20 feet
I was disappointed that this lure doesn't run 20 feet deep, as advertised. I am using 12 pound mono and the best I can do is 17 feet. Yes; I got my rod tip about 2 feet under the water and 17 feet is tops.
