Mangrove Sun Gloves were developed to protect your hands from sun damage, yet leave them totally free to tie knots, thread leader tippets on flies, and handle tackle. The thin but tough material filters those dangerous sun rays. SPF 50; 81.5% nylon; 18.5% spandex. On a hot day, if you dip the Mangrove Sun Gloves in water, the evaporation cools your hands. Small enough to fit in a pocket. Imported.

  • Built-in SPF 50 protection
  • 81.5% nylon/18.5% spandex
  • Thin, comfortable fabric

good gloves but uneven sizing Love the slick and tightly woven material that doesn't snag in hooks and other gear. Fit is just right. The only problem initially was that the opening of the right glove was about 3/4" smaller than the left and therefore cut into my wrist. I solved the problem by stretching the elastic for about a week over a bottle. Just caught 6 nice speckled trout with the gloves on. They wash well, too. Am hoping they will hold up for a good long while. Have read that the seams are sewn very close to the edge of the material which had let to pulled open seams in some cases. Mine have those close seams, too, but so far so good. May 17, 2011
Quality Control Needs Work Great gloves, however within a week of use I had to repair one of the side seams. They weren't used for any heavy work, just walking the dogs, etc., anytime I'm in the sun. Perhaps a little better quality control at the factory would make them perfect. They fit great and the feel is wonderful, they do well in the washing machine as well. The problem with repairing the seam is that I don't have any thread that will stretch, so now that one seam won't stretch. No big deal, but you would think they would last longer than a week before needing repair. July 12, 2011
good protection, handy This appears as the second generation of Sun Gloves, the first ones I owned were light gold/orange color, lighter material and ripped easily. These feel more substantial, holding up while cranking iron for yellowtail or pulling on 25#-35# yellowfin tuna. My hands are in the live well constantly, I'm slabbing bait, etc, never aware of wearing gloves. My hands aren't all dinged up as before, either. I briefly wash the gloves before removing them and don't foresee a time when I won't be using Sun Gloves. Also, I bought a pair for a friend when I purchased my pair; he now wants another pair as backup. November 19, 2009
Sun gloves I had the same problem as another reviewer with a split seam, but without having washed them first. BassPro replaced them immediately, and I've made a couple of trips to Brazil, where they are nearly mandatory, with excellent results. I've worn out one pair with constant use, and found they do an excellent job. January 8, 2009

The only color available is the one shown, which is gray. Small/medium would probably be the best size for a woman's hand.
