I purchased the Malone J style kayak bars and the package did not have ratcheting bow and stern ropes, so i upgraded with this package. The lope straps are nice so you don't have to tie or hook metal on your kayak. Ratchets work well and the rope is a tad thin but fine for light kayaks. Only wish the J racks came with these ratchet ropes.
