The E-coated, corrosion resistant steel cradles stand up to the elements well and feature full synthetic rubber padding to hold kayak in place safely and securely. Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Happy with this purchase! I'm getting older and decided to pick up kayaking as a hobby. I wasn't sure what kind of rack system to get so I asked a friend who suggested the Malone brand. I'm very happy he did! This rack came with attachments that went right on my car's existing bars and was very easy, took less than 5 minutes the first try. I've used this rack over 10 times in the last month and can't believe how secure and stable my kayak sits while i'm going to the beach. No difference whether i'm on the highway or not. Rated 1 out of 5 by Bad quality I got this Kayak carrier at Bass Pro and used two times, The second time coming back from cetral florida to Miami one of the arms snap and the hole thing got losse in the middle of the highway, i was luky and no accident happen but do not get this carrier. I returned wiht no problem to Bass pro. June 25, 2011
