Rated 5 out of 5 by good product , easy to use good product, easy to use.works great and the price was good too March 22, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Up to the task Small, black and size stated on BPH site, so far so good about those crimpers. I used them with titanium laeders and because I had the wire diameter(not only pound size) I was able to match them properly. Also I do use them on monofilament , not your 6 pound test but if you use fluoro for leaders for pike them you can crimp a Malin sleeve. Those stiff 40/ 60 pound fluoro are hard to knot, so a sleeve works better and it's weedless too. Just a note about crimping them: your regular plier or even those from fishing stores doesn't work, you need a electrician crimper to do it properly. July 19, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by good I use it with the titanium leader and it work good. June 29, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Malin sleeve performance These sleeves are smooth so there are no nicks imparted on the line and the compression made a strong connection. January 4, 2011

They are copper. Use a electrician's crimper with long handles, those cheap pliers don't work.

No. 30 lb pound is 0.014 you may have a hard time to fit 2 of them inside 0.033 sleeve.

Yes, on thick ones, like flouro leader for pike. Make sure you don't cross them inside sleeve, put them in parallel and make a clean crimp. It's easier then a bulky knot and more weedless.

Works great on mono. I use a leader in conjunction with this slide so that the slide rests on the swivel when I'm casting into the surf.
