Malin Malon-7 Nylon Coated Wire
Malin's Malon-7 wire is comprised of seven individual strands that are sheathed in together in a nylon coating. The smooth nylon finish combined with the wire's superior strength and excellent flexibility makes Malon-7 a great choice for making all kinds of rigs and leaders. 30' pouch includes sleeves.

I was unable to use the nylon coated wire leader because of the uneveness of thickness of coating. The wire leader would not pass through the sleeve twice. It was the worst product that I have ever tried to use.

I wanted to make my own leaders, so I purchased this Malon 7 wire, complete with ferrels. The ferrels shipped with the wire was .047ID, the wire itself was 20# .024ID, so doubled, the ferrels needed to be at least .048ID by simple addition.
SO if you buy this product, be sure to purchase .055ID ferrels if you intend to make you own also.

Work great for those toothy critters. Great for light lining from the back of the boat and for king rigs on the pier.

Yes you can tie knots with this product. You might want to start with a double square knot. Crimps work better and if you need to put a trailer hook, put a loop on the front hook with a double crimp.1 of 1
